Jeanne Hamrick, President

Raising money for a community cause takes an army of people collaborating to achieve a lofty goal.  That army needs a leader ready and able to shepherd it through the sometimes arduous task of fundraising. The leader must be a consensus builder who is community-oriented and achievement-driven, someone who understands what motivates people to action and has the ability to work with different personalities.

It takes a leader like Jeanne Hamrick.

With a background in counseling and a deep understanding of people, Jeanne thrives on bringing a community together for a common cause.  She’s done it countless times for many organizations, large and small with impressive results.  Her most notable campaign: a $52 million dollar capital campaign relocation project for Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.  This included full management of the project, coordinating with the board, construction team, architect, campaign cabinet and school administration.  She also restructured the development office, taking the team from two full-time employees to six.

That “small” project inspired her passion to help the community she calls home.  As the Director of Education for the Fundraising Resource Group, Jeanne has helped clients through successful capital campaigns, major gift programs, and annual fundraising campaigns.  Those clients include Shade Tree Women’s Shelter, Make A Wish Foundation, UNLV Football Foundation, Las Vegas Academy, the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Stillpoint Center for Spiritual Development and the inaugural TEDxUNLV event, among others.

Jeanne holds a Masters degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Prior to her work in fundraising, Jeanne worked for the state of Nevada on their adolescent and adult in-patient and special needs independent living project.

Jeanne’s counseling experience gives her a unique ability to diagnose many of the challenges that prevent organizations from successful fundraising.  Often this starts with simply developing an effective fundraising team.

Jeanne lives in Las Vegas Nevada with her husband Don. She has three grown children, a hound dog, Ace, and enjoys hiking, yoga, and gardening. She is a native Las Vegan, deeply committed to her community.
